I’m staying heavily invested in DXB for their kidney disease trials in both diabetic kidney disease & FSGS. DMX-200 does not lower blood sugar levels, they are also using PromarkerD in current clinical trials. These newer generation of diabetes drugs getting all this attention in the media aren’t cheap in the USA & aren’t without some possible concerning side effects, which have been issued a black box warning by the FDA.
However, a couple have been found to have other benefits for Type2 diabetes patients, who are at higher risk for cardiovascular disease, stroke & of course kidney disease & as we all well know, diabetes has basically become a global epidemic.
The benefits will outweigh the risks for many patients who may be prescribed these drugs, but which ones? I guess this is where PromarkerD may play a very important role in predicting kidney disease, especially in younger patients & choice of drugs to treat Type2 DM by Physicians & work out benefit vs risk & what is best & safest for each individual patient.
That’s just my take on things with Janssen’s groundbreaking news in diabetes treatment & I feel we will get some news very soon, a very unsubstantiated statement, but I also topped up a little today, bringing my Av to 25c & have to be happy with that.
