Looks like their keen to be producers (beef). This is low input agriculture so main capital outlay will be for probably what they assume will be an appreicating asset. I like AAC and am likely to get this into the Olds' super fund.
The next boom to follow on from grains (or probably more correctly to catch up and tag along) will be animal proteins and more specifically rangeland based since your feed costs are tended to by rain. Don't have to worry about hyperinflation in grains or fertilizer markets. So good rains on their lands they produce a low input valuable commodity from an appreciating asset and in low rainfall years at the very least they would still be hoping for land appreciation since there is always next year and the world is always going to want to eat meat.
