Silicon/partial silicon anodes and cathodes(?) in Li -ion batteries. Silicon long recognised as premier anode material except for it's swelling and contraction during charge/discharge cycles, which severely limits the life of the battery. AMG coating of the anode apparently controls this problem.
That's the way I understood it.
