Denial,
Australia has been able survive economically without a handful of Indian students for many years. A reduction in their numbers means little.
It is a pity that any foreign students are set upon, as per a number of media articles. These sort of stories are media fodder and can unfortunately lead to increase attacks.
I would say a significant percentage of foreign students come here with the intention of staying afterwards; either legally or illegally.
And I still don't get the Racist tag thing? Is racism just about colour? Has anyone said they don't want boatpeople because they are BLACK?
I don't want the poor, uneducated people coming to Australia. Those with no money, no skills, who can't speak English, and who will live off Australian welfare should be sent back from where they came. Does that mean I am a racist? Or is racism just a put-down tag, a cover-all for anyone who is politically incorrect?
Cheers, Skip
