Perhaps they achieved their objective. Perhaps their objective was to get kidnapped and held to ransom. After all, did they not want to draw attention to what is happening there? Did they get your attention? Are you better informed about what is happening there?

Comparing fear of no water or fear of my suburb changing becuase of a few boat people, to the apparent insufficient fear of those people to prevent them from taking big cameras into the mess that is the starving masses in Somalia is not a sensible comparison.

Fear is a choice you make, nothing more. If you want fear, put on Fox News and watch it for a day. Guaranteed you will feel a lot worse after that experience than before.
