Interesting looking back on the bidding for the USA's Visit Homeland Security contract and the players involved.
CSC mounted quite a team comprising 50 companies. Northrop Grumman was a major team player. NG it is said struck an alliance with ERG because of MASS (cost USD100million) and the time it had the only mainframe in the US that was capable of data reconciliation from a number of cities.

As it turned out Accenture won the contract but CSC's bid was very close. Given that ERG has had similar experience in China for example should it be any wonder that it will be a bidder here.

They don't like to give too much away at ERG the current annual review is a classic example. Have a look at page 8 Future Directions. Scant reference to China and India other than the potential. Apparently ERG's tech plays a major role in China's ID scard.More to say about this later....
