Blaming the government for this is a long shot Lapdog. Left wing and right wing extremists have been in the shadows for decades, just like criminal organisations - no government can stamp them out, it's simply a game of whack-a-mole. Once in a while they slip up and get caught.
Mr Salman (the person interviewed by SBS) believes "Australian authorities have inflamed hatred of Muslims by repeatedly calling on Muslim leaders to condemn acts of terror by Islamic extremists". I would disagree: The types of people that hate muslims have an extensive list of reasons already and would not care less what the authorities have to say.
