Australia buying oil from the US!!! Why not if invitation is there??

Last night a US representative suggested offloading oil to 'our friend's in Australia, amongst others to help them with storage on Bloomberg or CNN.

So why does the government not buy a heap of oil on the cheap from USA and help them out as well?

Why not create a heap of storage in NT and store even more oil to help USA out with their storage woes.

It sounds like both countries can help each other out. Do it for national security, whats holding up the works???

This makes far more sense than French submarines!!!
