We lose about ~5%, in transmission loss from the electricity generated, per 1000km.
So for Concentrated Solar Technology (CST), research needs to be done if the high solar intensity in NT compensates more than the transmission loss.
As for nuclear, we need to build a commercial industry ASAP. Particularly focusing on Molten Salt Reactors as they operate at high temperature and low pressure, which makes them the safest nuclear energy option that is available to commercialise.
