Quite possibly factual, even though over 100 years ago. I doubt anyone can verify this now and it's also possible that this is a biased report. I do believe there was a massive fear factor with our early settlers, plus it's been reported that they were losing valuable livestock to aborigines. And the whites had guns....vs spears and boomerangs.
In my opinion, the white man has moved on, said sorry and compensated massively . Sadly many aboriginals haven't moved on simply because of the lovely money and benefits they continue to receive....for doing SFA.
