    What he is saying is that australia is home to some of the oldest rocks (and fossils) on earth. Hence all the mineral wealth- most of the banded iron formations dug up are due to the great oxidation event approx 2.1B years ago. 65k years is not 99% of australias history

    It's unimportant but you guys seem to be estimating different time frames
