"It is time for all Australians to think about our country and how we can improve the standard of living of ALL Australians."
It's been time for a long time - we have shown absolutely zero interest in such a pursuit.
"What is important? What kind of Ethos or Moral Code do we want to embody as a Nation?"
We have a culture - it's called 'I'm alright Jack' and 'if you see something - dob it in'
"We all know that things have to change because the World we live in has changed."
No - I disagree with the above --------- very very few have seen that the world has changed at all -- many realise that the world has progressed technologically a fair bit - if they ever think about it ----------- but, the reality is that they are totally unaware that the ground has completely shifted beneath their feet - many still think we are in the past - just having a bad time and that we can return to that past - about 1950 or 1960.
"We need to adapt to the new way of things ...... "
that truly is a need ---------- but, there's needs and wants ------- and, we do NOT WANT it - we WANT to regress - at worst - we want to stay the same - we do NOT want to adapt --------- that means change - and, change is beyond our comprehension
"and it may mean that we have to take a step backwards from the freedoms and comforts that we hold so dear."
we have already lost freedoms ---------------- miles of them - and, it will continue
as to comforts -------- we WILL lose comforts -------- because of the very reason that we cannot adapt and will not adapt and that we have the mindset to remove freedoms ----
our default position with freedom is to 'withdraw' privilege if there's any issues - as opposed to enhance and protect privilege
the latter can be seen in thousands of examples all throughout Australia - in small and large ways ------------- it's Aussies
