correct me if i'm wrong but i believe australia was home to (only) a "brown skinned race" prior to the arrival of the first fleet from england only about 200 years ago. so to say australia has "lost its culture" shows that you are only viewing the country from a narrow-minded whites-only perspective.

are you a pure aborigine? i'm guessing not. so why do you feel that your family (parents, grandparents or great-grandparents etc) had more right to come to australia than any genuine "brown skinned" immigrant or refugee does today?

your comments, as do many others on this thread, have more to do with racism than any considered opinion on the refugee/immigration debate.
