Except we did make it into a rule here.

If we want to un-make it we need to change the law and let the UN know we are no longer a signatory to the refugee convention

At the moment, in Australia its not illegal to come and ask for asylum.

I'm not saying we should keep them all, but I think its important for people to understand the issue better given most posting here clearly do not.
