In a way you've gotta feel sorry for Ms.Gillard - on the flight over she thought she would do a few grabs and thoughts from one of their best authors (and one of the worlds best) - Samuel Clemens, so she grabbed a couple of phrases like "spruiking" and "stoking fear" and then used them in her media speech - poor old Jules didn't think that many in America had read Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn.
