i think the PM did well. she was disarming, and cheerful. at ease and yet attentive. if you remove your own personal political views from how you see the visit. I think she did well. Obama was obviously happy to share light hearted moments with her and for the world media to report it. the things that go on behind closed doors are the important ones and if the evidence of an entente cordial are anything to go by, discussions would have been fairly well perticipated in. having allegiance to your political faith is one thing. but bashing her over what has been received by the aussie media as a great meet and greet is biased to say the least. the sherrin and the vegemite are things aussies often wave as icons of australian culture. why should her avisors tell her to do anything different?
