Are you suggesting we should maintain super high immigration to avoid recession Dave?  if you have negative GDP per capita but stave off recession (negative gross GDP) through inflating the population, what have you actually gained Dave?  all that inflating population has done is suppress wage growth, reduce living standards, reduce quality of life.  All in the name of a positive GDP.  BIG WHOOP.  Growth and staving off recession at any cost, even if it means people are going backwards per capita?  no thanks that is madness, I really struggle to see your logic.
