Most true conservatives are savers and don't fear recessions.
Your argument is totally floored on a political level because the Libs simply argue they are the better economic managers ... not the ultimate recession avoiders.

Now let me say if I believe they are better economic managers I would say in this day and age the advantage to the Libs is thin.

This per capita recession is political bait for an upcoming election. Most folk these days are well aware of how wider world factors effect our economy.
We've been riding on the back of world growth and its massive money printing for too long.
