Under Liberal governments - normally we have zip change -------- barring going to the odd war or two with America --

changes and improvements cost in a few ways ----------- money, political capital, courage -- courage to run with something - try and be prepared to fail.

Labor and Liberal is always a clear choice ------------ Liberal - do nothing - save money. Labor, change try some new things, sign the cheques.

Look at history - without Labor - there is no way that we would have many of the good things we have today.

If we had Liberals only - we would be a polluted backwater.

Just go and look at the Liberal parties www on policy - right now - you get a page that says -- we will show you later -- for more on our 'plan' click here --- when you click 'here' - it takes you to a www where they tell you what they think they are proud of having done (most of which is now falling apart).

If you go to some of the links that show Labor policies - you get page after page of plans --

yes, ideas cost ----------- and, yes, they cost in money -

this is news?????????????????? ---------- arrrrh, no ------- not to anyone who thinks

I think the Libs did some good things in the early Howard years - GST, waterfront reform, gun controls

but yes, a lot of the heavy lifting in modernising our economy was done by Labor - tariff reductions, floating the dollar, deregulating banks, etc

this current mob in power wouldn't know innovation or reform if it sat on their face.
