The levy is not the problem, its the politics and spin of Lab that is the issue.
The elctorate has lost trust in the PM because of her demeanor and seemingly treating the Australian population as if they were detached from the reality of the disaster that has befallen us.
She has not taken economic advice regarding the ability of treasury to cope with the cost of the floods and affect on the level of debt required to rebuild those flood affected areas.
Her intent to restore the budget to surplus by 2013 is a double standard as Lab quickly placed us into deficit following the GFC, not saying this was an incorrect strategy, but who really cares if we stay in deficit for a few more years - unless she is aware of external factors that may deliver another blow to our econmy (China), but I do not think she is that bright.
Basically I have given up on this mob of promising misfits at a fed and state level.
