when greeted by someone with 'good morning' it is now quite acceptable to reply 'is it !'
things changed this way back in mid 60's in uk.
oz still has a long way to go.
come to spain. all and sundry say the equivalent to good morning (buenos dias). by everyone, i mean everyone, unless you don't like the buzzards of course !.
also, when entering a shop or bar it's customary to say buenos dias or just buenos. one nicety still exists somwhere in the world.
