The often criticised and currently politically incorrect policy of assimilation is the sensible alternative to multiculturalism.
This is where the migrant adopts the host countries culture over a period of time. In practice both the migrant and the host country adjust to form a "blend" of both cultures.
Multiculturalism leads to ongoing divisions in society - Assimilation ultimately creates a homogenous yet multi racial society.
