    Yes, this could happen and Australia would be crippled.

    Even up here in Far North Queensland the wet season seems to have become something we remember used to happen regularly back in the seventies.

    Less regularly in the eighties and since then if you get a wet season at all it is a time for rejoicing. I have also noted that the summers up here have been cooler than decades ago the opposite of what the global warming brigade try to tell us.

    No decent rain up here yet this year, just enough to keep the place green and looking lush. With about six weeks of supposed wet season left things are not good.
