Can you see a traditional queenslander lasting a few hundred years?

I have see some beautiful Queenslanders last over 120 years and gone through a few cyclones and not needing air con as they keep cool by louvres and drafts under the house

European houses are built for a different climate and with 2000 years of building and rebuilding experience gained (after every war) - so they have become quite good at it. They also have a strong ''village'' culture where houses were built around a church or a market place and roads were the minimum necessary and sometimes barely enough to get a horse and cart through and not conducive to a healthy environment (see various plagues throughout Europe)

The majority of people over there also live in apartments whilst Australians prefer the quarter acre block. Keep bring in hudreds of thousands of migrants every year and a majority of people in Australia will also be living in apartments.
