Fusion will be here before Gates or Others. As Pintohoo says with AI changing the tech, this will accelerate development more than research. Fusion will NOT require Construction, Material, Regulation, Waste or Decommisioning Costs that will only become more expensive with Fission Reactors, whether Salt or Water. They could build a Fusion Reactor now with 1:1 Energy usage. They want the 2:1 which makes all other types redundent. Fusion is the future so a few windmills and solar panels along the way is the cheapest, safest and quickest way to transition between Energies.
