The Labor Party in Australia, and The Democrats in the USA, are basically the same mob. Properly named, they would be "The Communist Authoritarian Party" in each nation - "CAP". A bit different to the Chinese CCP, in that dictatorship is not expected, nor wanted by the voters, but eventually what they could get. Refer to Hitlers rise from within the NAZI Party. Socialists formed the Nazi's, not conservatives. Nazi[ˈnɑːtsi] NOUN - historical - a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.
As a 'conservative', I hate to tell anyone what to do, or be told by someone else, what to do, or what to say. My left-leaning mates however, usually cowardly, non-generous, and weak by nature, LOVE to be authoritarian wherever they can, especially in bureaucratic job roles. They delight in blocking progress while claiming that x,y & z 'hoops' have not been jumped through properly, while conservative types remain helpful and speed along the work to gain satisfaction for a job done efficiently, and well, gaining a happy customer. I see these different mind-sets and ethical values between left and right. I'll always vote for smaller government and relative freedom, because that suits my mind-set. I'm a swinging voter, in that I don't 'belong' to any party, but I have never felt remotely like I should vote for Labor in Australia. They have NOTHING of substance, and I doubt they ever will.
