Legislation must be passed to prevent Government contacts being given to overseas suppliers. Cars, trains, planes, ships, it is no longer acceptable that the Government should favour an overseas supplier because of price. They are responsible for the high cost and subsequent death of manufacturing here in Australia, so it is just morally wrong for the them not to support a resurgence of Australian made products.
If we all have to tighten our belts, then so do the politicians, all politicians and high ranking civil servants need to take a huge pay cut to bring them a little closer to the average wage. Why has this not been mentioned? Australia is going to hurt financially for a long time, it is wrong for politicians to expect that their extravagant perks and salaries and superannuation's to continue, we simply cannot afford it anymore.
Things have to change!

Having things manufactured in Australia is in the best interests of the Country and it's people, so there's no way they Government would facilitate such a plan.
