Hi, if somene was receiving a pension/centrelink benefit of say, $375 per fortnight ??
I don't know for sure how much people would be getting, but this just for example, at 1% Debits Tax they would pay only$3.75 and have no tax return to complete. (cost of a cup of coffee, if you buy it.)
How can this be regressive ?
Also, they would also be doing their fair contribution to our nation.
Whereas, some of the bigger players would be contributing probably a bit more than they're paying now with the help of accountants/advisors, no paper work to do, and as I say, if it's feasible at 1%, 1% is bugger all.
