this is the key problem with political ideology.... they're so wedded to their beliefs that there is no room for compromise.
yet everyone knows that compromise is wise and representative of intelligent negotiation.
the far right are superglued to Aus day as if it represents unity. but its only the unity of the politics of rightness.
@Van88 proposed a random allocation of a date for Aus day. I think this is a great idea. it removes the power of invasion and allows us to celebrate Aus day any day and every day.
lets build real unity, egality, and opportunity for all Aussies then we'd really have something to celebrate.
