    Scott,
    I believe that those agitating for an Australia dominated by seperate "identities" (eg aboriginal separateness) are a minority whereas the majority would prefer a united Australia with a common, traditional set of values and identity.
    That common identity being galvanised by common symbols and beliefs - our flag, anthem and special days (Anzac and Australia Day). The majority are proud of our military history, success through hard work and our civil culture.

    On the other hand I believe that a minority seek to engender shame in our history, achievements and symbols. That minority has control of the ABC, universities and big corporations.

    In my view that minority is concentrated in the high paid, inner city suburbs and Canberra. (I refer to these as "elites", others would see them as parasites). The stark result of the referendum bear this out, as does the location of all "teal" seats.
