DeBono, You say Australia has an Immigration Policy, that is a surprise to me. There are department procedures and regulations dealing with how to process immigrants. I haven't seen a policy.
By policy I mean; What is our carrying capacity, how is it determined, what is the capacity determining factor (water?). Is the policy to maximise immigration for the good of mankind in general or is it to maximise the wealth and wellbeing of existing Australians? These are tough questions that politicians won't ask let alone answer. They will bluster. Bacci
