imagine this ----------- by the end of 2025 - after 2 years post the 2023 climate record shattering year -
that 2024 is again record shattering - and that
2025 is again, record shattering - AND
research comes out in those 2 years and before 2029 - the next COP - COP 2029
that we are in almost for certain territory of stalling the AMOC -
on the leadup to 2029 under those conditions ------- it may well just be that the world comes to the conclusion that 'this is real - it's not in the future - it's NOW' and we just have to stop burning coal NOW
now first - is that possible?
IMO - yes.
Now, if it's possible and if it did happen --------------- who is looking better?
Australia - with an old run down coal powered fleet - and no new builds? Or places that are building new coal stations now ---------- and will get no choice - but, to close the gates IMMEDIATELY
so, personally ------------- I would not be too quick to judge at all.
What 'might' seem clear to you now ---------- by 2029 - might be a very different look
