I couldn’t care less about any potential idiot who over extends on a home loan, even a business, car, personal loan or a credit card!!!
If anyone isn’t sure that they have a secure enough income, a secure job or have enough capital backing to handle a 1, 2 or 3% rise in interest rates they should have a long hard look at how important the particular need is.
No point sooking about how life is unfair, they need to make a plan and work to get themselves into a position where they can obtain the loan with at least minimum risk.
