I think people freak out when you use the term "fall". Instead I like to think of it as shift from a premium on top of the market median, to a discount rate of some soft. This bull run in the property markets across Melbourne and Sydney has been going for over 4.5 years...the longest cycle in a while! I have no doubt the market will soften...but the eyes of investors will be in the interest rates ready to pounce when defaults start rising! If your in the market looking for an investment I suggest keeping an eye on state trustees websites...never know, you could pick up a bargain!
