does that infer that 'economists' want lower taxes?

well if it does - I suggest that it's wrong. I suggest that some of the best living standards in the world are in higher taxing countries.

And whilst the article mentions Sweden and Norway - in particular to mortgage rates - I suggest that both of those countries have a lot more safety net mechanisms in place - and Norway is well set up for national wealth.

There's no argument that the tax system in Oz is crap. But, what builds a nation is what you DO with the tax revenue.

and that's where Oz has a huge dog's breakfast.

Here Oz is spending half a trillion bucks on some kind of magic submarines to 'protect' itself from some imaginary foe that will invade to take????????????? what exactly?

something they can already buy dirt cheap? -------------- pfffft, it makes no sense at all. And that's just one example

Albo does not give an atrocity about AUstralia although he did laugh when asked a question about a High Court case involving a refugee who sexually abused a 10 year old boy when on a bridging visa.

Albo is the worst PM ever.
