no one has what you call 'the stones' to attack much of the housing problem causes

and that's because it's a toxic trap that's been decades in the making.

I've said that it's unfixable - and certainly if it were by magic 'fixed' - then the rewind would take decades and Oz would have to change it's entire attitude to residential housing

I've no answers how one fixes the housing mess ----------- I do have some answers on how to fix the homelessness crisis -

but again, --------- almost all of it would be too radical for Australia

to me - no one is thinking.

I noticed that at the housing conference in Brisbane ------------- how is it possible that a reversal of Tony Abbotts dumb and dumber decision to not allow a permanent payment to disability pensioners if they lived overseas - didn't get a mention?

if Oz reversed Abbotts total stupidity - AND also added some more carrots - like paying a set amount for rental assistance to OS pensioners and an 'away from Oz' supplement -

it would ONLY have positive effects for Oz - and be CHEAPER FOR GOVERNMENT

they would drop the demand for some housing - immediately
they would save on medical and pharmaceutical
they would take pressure of hospitals and the like
they would save on transport subsidies

a win, win win ------------ and didn't get a mention

    no one is thinking
