here we go again, Labor shills scapegoating the resource sector and thinking all would be fine if we just nationalise it. Then pointing toward Norway trying to look smart while looking like absolute morons. Norway doesnt have a resource sector you idiots. They basically have one asset, North Sea Oil.
Australia has heaps of mines and a large junior mining sector. If the mining sector was nationalised in the 70's all those mines that have been discovered since then would not exist. Why would anyone risk private money to go out there and prospect knowing there is no upside once the government just takes it from you.

Also, commodity prices are not always high and imagine the howl when the sector loses money due to low prices. Governments are not known for efficiency, they would make less in booms and lose more in busts
