This is where Australia has descended to in the last 20 odd years. Voting for Governments at both State and Federal levels that bribed different sections of the community with gifts from the public treasury.
Examples being, First Homebuyers schemes, discount 20% off HELP education debts, free child care, subsidising electricity prices.
To pay for these bribes, we are now increasing taxes on the means of production. Land taxes, superannuation taxes, unearned income taxes, bracket creep, sin taxes on alcohol and tobacco, coal taxes, windfall property taxes on rezoned land up to 62% on any increase in value from rezoning.
This on top of soaring public debt.
Victoria has introduced about 54 new taxes over the last 10 years.
You can vote socialism in, but you have to fight dictatorship/communism out.
