I'm not convinced it is party related, but moreso the bureaucrats and the broad calibre of the pollies themselves. It's rare to see an Australian political leader sell Oz as anything other than a little brother eager to make friends with the big kids.
Having Kier Starmer do the beggar bowling to Trump for the AUKUS deal status sends a clear message to the international community we haven't developed a spine IMO.
