On my last Israel trip thru a Palestinian controlled zone, when I enquired why all the solar panel street lights on a newly constructed road have been damaged. My Palestinian driver said, that there were a small number of Palestinian who damaged the lights because it was US aid money involved.
The other odd thing, is that these radicals mentioned that they didn’t want the residents of the Jewish township being able to see their movements during the night.
The politest thing I could say about my independent travel too Israel, is that I wouldn’t go back there again.
People on any organised tour are generally protect from the going’s on, in a 3 tiered country.
