On 25 August 1940, British bombers were sent out to raid industrial and commercial targets in Berlin. Torent after torrent of indiscriminate bombs fell across the city, causing enormous casualties amongst the civilian population as well as damage to residential areas.
They were not indiscriminate bombs, they were deliberately targeted at the civilian population.
