I agree 100% with you Davo. A nuclear deterrent is the only deterrent and I don't see how we can own one. The British were supposed to give us the technology, and did all their atmospheric tests in Australia, then reneged. Then GW Bush and Rice came here to strip Aus of any nuclear material we had. Sure we have the guarantee from the US when this was a mono polar world with the US clearly on top. That is no longer the case as the Ukraine (who gave up their nukes for a US and guarantee)is now paying for.
