I've been discussing where to live in the last days ------- sitting just above the beach in Brittany. A place on the coast and a place in the mountains for me seems to meet almost all needs.

When one is old and can't move about - the big question is where to stop.

It takes a couple/few years to set up. One really needs to explore. I don't think I'd like the Brittany 'fine' weather for months on end - Billy Connolly might like vertical drizzle and call it fine ------- I kinda prefer dry. But with a big mountain view in somewhere like Annecy - that might work. Annecy I have to look at yet - and explore things - many things - if one can get a doctor and dentist etc etc.

These are big considerations -unless one likes Paris, which I don't.

either way, if you can be an EU person - you have a mile of choice.
