The killing of animals

A secular country is a country, where there is a division between law, politics and religion.

After the recent 4 corners report, the killing of animals has become a hot topic for a week (and will probably be forgotten , after that).

Australia is supposed to be an advanced country, and a secular country. As an "advanced" country, the humane killing of animals, should be accepted - and to HELL, with religion.

To hell with kosher, to hell with hallal. If people want to eat meat, in Australia, then it is done on the basis, that the animal suffers minimal pain.

Society moves on.. Who cares about the way that animals were killed a thousand years ago, or two thousand years ago.. they did not have stun guns, in those times.

To the people who want to eat kosher meat, or hallal meat in Australia, the message should be - "get lost" - your religious views have nothing to do (as part of the secular state) with the humane treatment of the killing of animals.... and if you do not like it - just stay in a kosher, or hallal country .


It is time to accept reality. A sign on a shop window displaying kosher meat, or hallal meat, is open to abuse - after all, it tastes the same as an animal killed in a modern killing shed
