from memory, the buddhists do not believe in killing anything thing . i saw a volunteer buddhist group at an aged care institution ( a christian facility ) the other day - and they were brilliant. i only knew that they were budhist , because the women were "asian" and one of them wore a jacket which mentioned something about "budhist volunteers" .
the audience that the "budhist volunteers" were seeking to please, were "semi comatized oldies" - in a 7 day adventist aged care facility. there is no way, that that the buddhist were going to get converts amongst the "half dead" .. the buddhist sang and danced between the oldies, and held their hands etc etc. two days later, the entertainment was provided by an old lady on a piano, a middle aged man on a guitar, and a younger woman singing hyms (and none of the oldies knew the songs) .. good on them, they did their best - but the buddhists gave the best performance. the bottom line is that that the buddhists, and the 7 day adventists were happy that the buddhists performed at a 7 day adventist facility
There are more buddhists in Australia, than what there are muslims. sadly it is muslims that seem to create the problems (just look at the people who have been convicted of terror related crimes - they are all muslims ) .
frankly, i could not care less about any religion. my belief is that we are born, and we will die, and and that is the "end of all argument" . however, if people want to believe in something, then the buddhist mob is a pretty good mob to follow
