When any legislature assumes the right to decide what the people can or cannot put into their bodies, it essentially tells them that their bodies are not their own, but are the sovereign property of the state.
A decriminalised system would be a first step in the right direction, just so long as it isn't accompanied with a thousand or more controlling rules and regulations.
