I am dismayed. The "international coalition" against Iran was US, Britain + Israel. Now it is joined by Australia. This is to "protect shipping" in the Strait of Hormuz. I am dismayed that Australia will play a role to create an unstable situation and that we will get involved in a conflict which is the creation of the US foreign policy.
What happens when the situation escalates and an Australian ship gets sunk. Then we will become sanctimonious and defensive.
This is all about trying to deny the sale of oil from Iran to India and China because the oil is not sold in $US.
