Tax free super; People might be hesitant to save if there is no benefit. I think people will be hesitant in paying house Insurance in the future as well,for same reason as appears no real benefit.
Private health insurance rebate; Many people will stop paying as can't afford and will go to Public system.Money Gov. saves will have to be spent on public system to handle increase in demand.
- Subsidies for elite private schools; Same reason.Parents will send children to public schools if subsidies are removed. I know poor people who do with out to give their kids what they believe a better chance. In actual reality, Private school are subsiding the Government for educating our children.Government would need to spend a lot more money building schools and supplying teachers.
- Family tax benefits for high income families;
Don't know, I have not got that problem.
- Baby bonus;
Agree, remove all incentives to have children. If you can't support 100% your own children,then you can't afford them.Why should a stranger pay for your pleasures, we have our own to pay for.
- Include the family home in the pension assets test. If you have a $5 million house you do not need welfare. Use a reverse mortgage if you want more money;
I disagree, why should boat people and low/NO income people get homes free or very cheap. While people who save and work hard are penalised again.
Don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.
Want more money ,work for it.Reward is better than a whip to get it.
You don't create wealth, by redistributing wealth.
