How can anyone possibly know what Trump will do if he wins? He doesn't know. He makes it up as he goes along and then his people try to retro fit his words into a coherent policy. Isolationism is the simplest possible policy they could come up with.
In the beginning Trump was identifying one problem after another. He pointed to the incompetence of politicians and their spivs. Then he offered no workable solutions, "it is a secret, trust me".
Finally he is a Democrat, as such I have always believed he was aiming to disrupt the Republicans to get his friends the Clintons back in.
