flying fresh milk to China seems expensive on a food miles basis.
Anyway a big part of the problem I feel is Australia is not utilising its resources in the best way sure , blue gums are not worth growing but what about Almonds only ASX listed SHV is doing it to scale and there is huge demand for nuts uses less water to than irrigated grazing. I love being a traditionalist in Ag (hence my HC name) but got to move with the times ie no till not ploughing , but really need to change from extensive ranching to more intensive farming, like around Kunnanara with Argyle Dam.
